Forestry Mulching
Forestry mulching grinds standing brush and small trees into mulch on the spot. We run a CAT 265 with a mulcher head, and the chips stay on your ground as cover.

Land clearing turns a wooded lot or an overgrown property into ground you can use. Watson Outdoor Living does that work around Statesboro and across Southeast Georgia. We drop the trees, cut the underbrush out, and move the material out of your way. When we finish you can see your acreage and put it to work.
Every clearing job starts with a look at the site. Call or text CJ at (912) 712-6034 and he comes out to see the property. He checks how thick the timber is and how wet the low ground gets. Then he asks what you plan to do with the land. Estimates are free, and the plan comes from what is actually growing out there.

Land clearing covers the whole property at once. We run a CAT 265 compact track loader with a mulcher head and a root rake grapple. A CAT 308 excavator does the heavy pushing and digging. Chainsaws handle the trees that have to come down by hand. The root rake pulls roots and buried wood up out of the dirt.
How far we take it is up to you. Light trees and brush can be ground up where they stand with forestry mulching. On a homesite the stumps have to go, so we dig them out with the excavator, roots and all. Our stump removal pulls them and hauls them off in the dump trailer. Logs and debris ride out on the same trailer when you want the lot clean.
This is coastal plain country, and it clears differently than the red clay up north. Most tracts around Statesboro are planted pine or grown up woods. You get loblolly and slash pine over sweetgum, with yaupon and wax myrtle underneath. That underbrush is often the slow part of the job, because it hides stumps, wire and old fence posts.
Soils here run to sandy loam, and low bottoms hold water long after a rain. We plan the digging around the wet stretches so the tract does not get torn up. Regrowth is fast once summer heat gets on an opened canopy. Taking the roots and stumps out is what keeps a cleared lot from filling back in.
We work out of Statesboro and cover about 50 miles around it. That takes in Bulloch, Effingham, Bryan, Screven, Candler, Evans and Emanuel counties. Recent jobs include two backyards in Springfield and a mulching and clearing job in Ellabell. We have also cleared a 2-acre lot and dug big pine stumps out for a local tree company.
Most cleared ground needs shaping before it is finished. We can follow the clearing with grading and leveling so the lot drains and mows the way you want. Building pads and driveway work fall under dirt work, and the machines are already on site for it. Call or text CJ at (912) 712-6034 for a free estimate on your property.

(912) 712-6034From the first look at the property to the last pass of the grapple, here is exactly how it goes.
We come see the property first: the growth, the ground under it, access for the machines, and what you want the land to become. Clearing prices live in details a phone call cannot see.
You get a real number and a real timeline, and what it covers is spelled out: clearing, stumps, grading, debris. It holds unless the scope changes, and you hear about any change before it costs anything.
The CAT 265 and 308 show up when we said they would. Brush gets mulched or piled, trees and stumps come out, dirt gets shaped, and debris leaves on the trailer.
We go over the finished ground with you before we leave. Smooth dirt you can mow, grade or build on, and a property that looks better than the day we pulled in.
